Take Advantage of your EAP Program
Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs) are employee benefit programs offered by many employers. EAPs are intended to help employees deal with personal problems that might adversely impact their work performance, health, and well-being. The purpose of employee benefits is to increase the economic security of staff members, and in doing so, improve worker retention across the organization.
EAPs generally include short-term counseling and referral services for employees and their household members. Employees can trust that these matters will be held in the strictest of confidence. Pates Law Group works with local Employee Assistance Programs to ensure that our clients can utilize these resources. Remember therapy is often needed before, during and after a legal battle. It’s okay to need a “safe space” to talk.
Some of the local employers that offer EAPs are Orlando Health, Walt Disney World, all Orange County employers, and Orlando Utilities Commission.
